We started the day by going to visit a secondary school which had kids about our age. at the school we talked about where we come from. i was sitting by a group of girls and they were all very interested about where i came from, what we did there, what we ate, and they were very surprised to find that we did some of same things they do. they also showed me how to make the paper bags and when i asked them for help they were happy to show me. at the end our group gathered in the middle to teach them a song and they were very enthusiastic about learning it. i have noticed that the ugandan people are not very vocal but they do like to sing a lot. they are vocal though their dancing and singing not though talking. after an hour with the kids we went to a different school which had kids that were younger than us. here i played soccer with the kids. i noticed that they liked it when i was more engaged in what i was doing, and when i started cheering a jumping small girls came to hold my hand and started cheering. when we were all exhausted from soccer we sat in a circle and lead a discussion about leadership, who is a leader and what leaders do. at fist the kids were very hesitant but after one of them answered they all started to answer. we then talked about teamwork and why a game like soccer needs teamwork. in the afternoon we visited Steven who is a successful entrepreneur who wanted to help his community and people by teaching them how to become self employed. he was very inspiring because he was only 19 and he had people who were 26 working for him and helping him with his dream. overall i learned a lot yesterday about self employment, the problems Uganda is facing today, and how to be a successful facilitator so i came back to the guest house exhausted.
