Today was our last day as a group working with children at schools. By far, I think everyone can agree, today was our best day. Most of us started out the day pretty tired from a long week, but as soon as we all say that smiling faces from the children we were revved up and ready for some fun. It was a pretty sight to see all the kids in their purple uniforms. Every school that we help out seems to have a color that they are particularly fond of making the children wear. Purple was very flattering on the children. We received a group of fourty kids in which we split up into two groups of twenty led by three of us each. We started out with a quick game of "Zip, Zap, Zop," proceeded by a game of "The Human Knot," then some name games and other fun activities with the entire group. Today was the first day that i think we were able to smoothly keep the kids entertained and energetic. I was also impressed with our selves that we were able to lead the group successfully with out the help of Mary. We then had a wonderful Italian lunch of some Margarita pizza before we headed off to our next sight. The kids in the afternoon were just as energetic. We, again, were successfully able to lead them through timeless amounts of fun with out the awkward pauses found earlier in the week. I think that we were becoming more successful as the week progressed because of a few reasons. One, I have to give credit to the kids for being so willing to participate in our goofy games. Second, I think that as the week progressed, we had build up a lot more courage and a nice memory of games to entertain the kids. As we piled back into the van after a long day, we sat in the car ride enjoying the usual game of chicken that each car played swerving along the road avoiding the pot holes. We arrived later to a Martyr memorial center where we learned a brief history. The celebration day was back on June 3rd where they said about a million people attended the event. Well, that's all for now, back to watching more Football.
